Does anyone else notice that the majority of Obama supporters know nothing about his policies?

by: Sidewayslean JDoes anyone else think it’s funny that the majority of Obama supporters know nothing about the “details” of his policies? A large percentage of liberals, particularly in this campaign insist that Senator Obama is a better candidate but fail to explain why…other than a typical response like he is young, charismatic and “fresh”. Aside from emotional appeal, I rarely hear anything in regards to the details of his national health care plan. What is Obama´s policy towards the war? He says removal of troops after 6 months but have you asked yourself how many? What is Obama´s border policy? What is his stance on the patriot act? What is his stance regarding CO2 emissions and global warming? What’s his policy regarding Iran and the possibility of them getting a nuke? Let’s not forget how he affiliates himself with a church that preaches **** and condemns America. I would rather have an athesist for President than a man that participates in a church that preaches ****.

    Change Change Change!

That’s what they keep telling me…

I just want to know what He plans to do for real.

I don’t think it would be reasonable to expect someone to outline his entire platform for you in a post here, but you certainly could visit his website where his stand on all of these issues are well laid out. He does not engage in double-speak or appear to reflect both sides of the issues like Hillary and McCain do, so it will probably be a lot easier for you to understand his platform than that of his opponents if you research with diligence. Hope this helps and good luck!

Why don’t you learn it for yourself. It would be very interesting, right? I’m not your teacher.

Well this is like I always said, before they allow people to vote they should have to take a Bill of Rights knowledge test and then we would not have all these do-nothings in Washington.

In fairness to his flock, Barrack hasn’t exactly disseminated in any detail.

(Sorry, flowery words and a slogan with the cadence of a nursery rhyme do not count)

Well, not anymore than I notice that none of McCain’s supporters know about his policies. In fact tonight I ased several of them, and they didn’t have a clue, as to his stance on most issues. They just support him because he is the Republican.

As an independent, one thing that I have done, is go to the candidates websites, and compare all of the issues. One of the things that I note, is that Obama does have stances on the issues, on McCain’s site, I really cannot understand some of his positions.

For example. Go and compare the issue of Edcuation. Obama has specific plans, etc. what to do. McCain just rambles, etc. I have read it over several times, and still don’t know what his plans are. So if someone were to ask me Obama’s, I could tell them. But not McCain’s.

So really don’t think either group is any more knowledgeable than the other.

Ahhh…your last two sentences reveal the real agenda behind your question. And here I was going to answer a serious policy question.

Nope I talk about his policies all the time ,but correct me if I’m wrong you don’t want to hear that. It is much more fun to dig up the same question over and over again in hopes for a quick one liner round the watercooler to spice up the morning break. There is a lack from the Clinton and McCain crowd I’m sure both candidates have thought out policies but the followers here are too busy in their Obama obsession like tabloids and what Britney did now. I thought I talked alot about the guy.

Indeed, I’ve seen a lot of online Obama supporters simply making stuff up. The latest is that Hillary Clinton somehow “agreed” to discount the Michigan and Florida Primaries.

That one is a bald-faced lie. But nevertheless you’ll still encounter rabid Obama-supporters and anti-Hillary Clinton trolls throwing that one out there.

For the rest of us who actually care to get to the truth of the matter: the first link below is a copy of the actual “Four-State Pledge” signed by every nominee back in ’07 before the DNC executed its ruling on Michigan and Florida. There is nothing in the agreement on keeping one’s name on the ballot nor is there anything in this agreement sanctioning possible DNC reprisals on Michigan and Florida.

The second link is a great post. It’s great because it’s one of the ONLY posts I’ve heard or read that actually dissects Obama’s motives for withdrawing his name from Michigan’s ballot to begin with. Add to that list is the fact that 270+ of the Super Delegates are DNC Committee Members, and it all makes so much same-old same-old political sense…there is nothing “new” or “fresh” about Obama…

The final link is from a site that retains a treasure-trove of information on Obama, the link will take you to a post that does a nice dissection of the pro-Obama Media bias. Enjoy.

I believe this to be true…we’ve seen various media clips where his supporters have been asked questions on how much they know about him and time after time none of them seemed to be able to offer up any real responses, other than “change” Even people here where I live that support him offer up basically the same responses. In fact, an example of how clueless about him some are.. I was recently engaged in a discussion with several other people, which included some Obama supporters, we were citing some of his voting record, available to the public on the Senate website, one of the people who supports him proclaimed it to be just more false info, then proceeded into some rhetoric about us just wanting to bash him. They had absolutely no clue about him other than the same old “he’s for change”. It’s really quite disturbing at the number of people who would be willing to elect someone based on nothing more than a catch-phrase.

Obama has flip flopped on the border issue,
Obama voted to renew the patriot act,
Obama’s advisers have pretty much admitted that Obama can’t have an Iraq plan until he becomes President and understands what is going on there IE- he’s the same as McCain on Iraq, stay as long as it takes to get us out safe.

Obama has flipped flopped on Iraq, saying he would have the troops out in first, 2 years, then 16 months, and now if your right 6 months, its absurd, he just says what he thinks people want to hear.
maybe some Obama supporters will read this.

Yes, and it’s very sad. If the bad keeps coming out they might just wish they had taken the time to examine Obama. He ‘hangs’ with some pretty dangerous and shady people.
