ECO-DRIVING
Environment Campaign in driving is more echoed, as well as by manufacturers of motor vehicles. One popular way with “eco-driving” It’s how to drive according to environmentally friendly principles. With “eco-driving” we can save fuel, reduce emissions, and noise pollution.

Some of ways to save our environment are using fuel-efficient technologies; promote environmentally friendly emission standards, and asking consumers to change driving habits. For example avoid race car at high speed or heat the car too long, not too often shift gears, stepping on the gas pedal gently, watch tire pressure, and bring the vehicle to service station on a regular periodic.

“Eco-driving” is not the best solution to reduce emissions from the transportation sector. Eco-driving is only a small contribution to prevent the addition of our carbon release. Better way in transportation sector is to use public transportation to conserve fuel.

Eco-Driving Principles

  • Do not heat your car too long, because it can waste fuel more. Now a day car engine is designed for rapid heat
  • Do not change speeds suddenly; it’s better increase your speed gradually. Do not just step on the gas as soon as the car turned on. Wait about 20 km / hour. And vice versa, lower your speed slowly.
  • Try to stepping minimum of gas. Drive the speed consistently. Set at a constant speed (40-50 km / h), avoid driving aggressively, because it can waste 33% of gasoline compared to the normal speed.
  • Take cares your car tire pressure. If the pressure is less, the inertia of the vehicle will decrease, so that takes more energy to move. Less pressure can increase gasoline consumption by up to 3% and increase greenhouse gas emissions to 5%, also can endanger the movement of the car.
  • Turn off the engine when the vehicle is waiting or stopped for more than 30 seconds. Turned on Machine spent less energy than if the engine had been left on for 10 seconds.
  • Switch gear into neutral when going to stop at traffic lights. This also applies for automatic cars.
  • Drive car in high gear at low speeds. Driving with high gear position can save more fuel efficient.
  • Lower speed on the uphill road.
  • Do not fill the car with heavy stuffs due to excessive load will affected cars aerodynamics and reduce fuel efficiency.
  • Avoid using vehicles for short distances due to a cold engine consumes gasoline 2 times as much.
  • Plan a route first to avoid waste the gasoline because of traffic or get lost. Combine the trip destination; go to the farthest destination first. Anticipate lane road is also useful to prevent a sharp acceleration and sudden braking requirement.
  • Take care your vehicles on a regular periodic. Perform regular service if the car had traveled 5000 km, to ensure the machine in good condition. Check tire pressure. Less Tires those are dangerous and gas wasteful around 3% and 5% gas emissions.
  • Use a high-octane gasoline. More complete combustion and cleaner. Thus more efficient in the long term and it’s also environmental friendly.
