Roswell, Ga. is not far from Atlanta and there is a lake there polluted with snakes!!! And it has no frogs which, I believe, is an indication of a healthy ecological system.
Basically, if people live there, there will be pollution so to answer your first, most basic question: Yes, there is pollution in Atlanta.
Try searching the internet for different forms of pollution in addition to just air and water (i.e. noise, heat etc.)

I think we all know the answer to that, but maybe I can help illustrate it for you with some pretty maps and reports. If you go to one of EPA’s 3 major search engines at and type in your ZIP code, you can look at lists of different hazards in Envirofacts, a map with colored dots indicating each threat or actual pollution source (for example, underground gasoline tanks are a different color than *leaking* underground gasoline tanks), or you can ‘Surf Your Watershed’ by getting reports of water pollution issues for any watershed that intersects with your ZIP code.
