There are so many factors that could cause the planet’s demise. Water, air, land pollution, also, global warming. Global warming is defined as the increase in Earth’s temperature (on both its bodies of water and atmosphere). Scientists have also projected a continuance on the temperature increase. Most people believe that global warming has occurred because of many, harmful human activities.

The National Center for Policy Analysis in the United States has contested the common myth that humans are the primary cause of global warming.

Global Warming – Myth Or Reality?

Many prominent scientists and engineers claim there is no such thing as man-made global warming. One engineer, living in Canada, goes so far as to say human responsibility for global warming is a “stunning whitewash of reality”. The skeptics claim that the human contribution to environmental pollution is negligible; nature generates far more greenhouse gases than human activity. They question the science behind climate change because different computer simulation models produce different results. The supporters also point out that climate change models can reproduce the observed temperature trends with reasonable accuracy only when the effects of greenhouse gases are included in the computations. The U.S. National Academy of Sciences and 10 other National Academies of Science state that there is clear evidence that global warming is occurring and that nations should take prompt action in the form of cost-effective steps in order to contribute to substantial and long-term reduction in net global greenhouse gas emissions.

Another commonly-held myth is that addressing global warming will hurt the American industry and American workers. The fact is that a well-designed trading program would harness American ingenuity to decrease heat-trapping pollution cost- effectively and would also give rise to a new carbon economy.

Experience has shown that properly designed emissions trading programs can reduce compliance costs significantly compared to other regulatory approaches; one previous example was the U.S. acid rain program that helped reduce sulphur dioxide emissions by more than 30% from 1990 levels and cost the industry a fraction of what the government estimated.

The level of water vapour cannot be directly controlled by people because they are determined by temperatures – the warmer the atmosphere, the more water vapour it can hold. As a result, the key to controlling and reducing water vapour is to control the levels of CO2 people put into the air.
